Alignment
- Alignment is the proper positioning or state of adjustment of parts in relation to each other.
- Alignment is the arranging of elements in a straight line or in a proper position.
- In typography alignment is the placement of text relative to the margins.
Types of alignment in typography:
- Left Alignment (flush-left).
- Right Alignment (flush-right).
- Justified Alignment.
- Centered Alignment.
1. Left Alignment :
- In left alignment, all lines begins from the same distance from the left margin but end at varying distance from the right margin.
2. Right Alignment :
- In right alignment, lines begin at varying distances from the left-margin but end at the same distance from the right margin.
3. Justified Alignment :
- In justified alignment, lines begin and end at the same distance from the left and right margins respectively.
4. Centered Alignment :
- In centered alignment, text is aligned to neither the left nor right margin there is an even gap on each side of each line.
