Helvetica Movie

  • Helvetica is a documentery film about typography and grahic design, it was directed by Gary Hustwit.
  • It was released in 2007 to coincide with 50th anniversary of typeface introduction.In this film they show introduction of helvetica and inerviews with typeface designers about Helvetica.


Helvetica Introduction :
  • Helvetica was developed by Max Miedinger with Eduard Hoffmann in 1957.
  • First it was named as "Neue Haas Grotesk" after that it was renamed to "Helvetica".It is a widely used san-serif typeface.
  • Helvetica was developed as a neutral typeface which can be applied to all kinds of information whether it signs system, or corporate identity and  present  those visual expressions of the modern world to the public in an intelligible legible way.
  • Many corporate brands uses Helvetica font for better legibility.
